The city experienced substantial growth after 1885 when the Arizona Canal was completed, and it became easier to acquire water in Peoria. Peoria Eighty-Three, or P83, is a great choice for anyone looking for outstanding shopping and dining options. Located south of Bell Road on 83rd Avenue, it is considered the premier entertainment center in Peoria. In addition to multiple shopping and dining options, P83 is also home to many different events and festivals, as well as being where the Peoria Sports Complex is located.

There's always something to do in Peoria. The Arizona Broadway Theater isn't just a great place to catch a live show; it's also a popular local wedding venue.


The annual Carefree Fine Art & Wine Festival takes place every November and has the distinction of being Arizona's largest wine-tasting event. In addition to appealing to wine lovers, the festival also attracts artists who love having the opportunity to show off their masterpieces.


The Blackstone Country Club not only provides its members with an excellent golf course but also hosts weddings, corporate events, fitness classes, and more.


Every spring, a buzz of excitement fills the air as Peoria residents and baseball fans anticipate the start of spring baseball training. This is when baseball teams, including the Seattle Mariners and the San Diego Padres, move into the Peoria Sports Complex and start to prep for the upcoming season.
